This clip has information from the inheritance of the final Messenger (saw) which will stop you from feeling in a state of loss and ensure that you never ever feel like the highest jannah is beyond your ability to reach. InShaAllah.
The fear should never be about us NOT having our wishes, whilst we are dutiful to Allah Almighty!
The real fear should be about us actually living our dreams and experiencing our wishes whilst we DISOBEY Allah Almighty!
To clarify this further; consider this aayah:
Allah Almighty says in chapter 6, verse 44:
“So when they forgot that by which they had been reminded, We opened to them the doors of every [good] thing until, when they rejoiced in that which they were given, We seized them suddenly, and they were [then] in despair”.
May Allah forgive us and save us! Ameen.
Shaikh Sajid Umar
Assalamualaikum everyone. Never underestimate the weight of a simple statement of recognition and inspiration towards our youth.
Imam alBukhari (the famous compiler of the most authentic book after the Qur’an- Saheeh alBukhari) was set on his path of completing a great legacy at the tender age of 16 by a goodly word he heard from his teacher Ishaaq bin Raahuwiiyah (May Allah shower His mercy upon them both).
“We were sat with Ishaaq bin Raahuwiyyah who said, ‘Why don’t you gather a summarised book of the authentic narrations of the Prophet (sall Allaahu ʿalayhi wa sallam)?’ Instantly, the love of doing so fell into my heart and I began to compile the book.”
He was 16 years of age, and spent the next 16 years in the making of his book that nshook the world, all because of a goodly word from a source of trust and inspiration.
1. Be a source of insiration and trust to those around you.
2. Do not under-estimate the weight of a goodly word in creating a positive dent in the world!
May Allah forgive our past and inspire our futures. Ameen.
Assalamualaikum everyone. Today I would like to introduce you to brother Mohammed Ashour. An amazing asset to the ummah and someone for whom I pray enters the highest paradise for taking his identity as a Muslim to where the identity of every Muslim should be! May Allah bless him! Ameen.
(Please read till the end)
You know, brothers & sisters; for those who really listen to my ‘messaging service’ in my lectures both onsite and online, and not just my voice & accent; you would notice the action mandate present in them.
Knowledge was never meant to be an ‘end’ in and of itself; the objective of knowledge was always for it to be implemented (put into practice – action).
After all, this is and has always been the basis of transformation! And transformation is the reality of the knowledge of the Qur’an and Sunnah.
In many a seminar and workshop, I have asked the following questions:
“If the Muslims were to disappear today; what would the world miss?
Are we living for the sake of Allah?
Are we inventing for the sake of Allah?
Are we innovating for the sake of Allah?
I pray you are well. May Allah reward you all for your reading and participation in relation to the earlier post about ‘too much movement but very little progress. ‘
For those who requested actual case studies for further clarity; I will attempt to put together an article titled (Transformers) – may Allah bless my time to do so! Ameen.
This article will inShaAllah focus on the aspect of inspirational knowledge acquisition vs trasnformative knowledge aquisition, especially in relation to current learning trends which has a lot of movement, but sadly- through observation, inadequate transformation.
You know; when we were younger, most of us were introduced in school to the timeless classic Alice’s adventures in wonderland, by Charles Dodgson, better known as Lewis Carrol.
Assalamualaikum everyone. I pray you are all well.
In my time travelling to different communities sharing messages of ignition for the ummah; I have come to realise that people fall into one of the following categories with regards to living a life of substance:
1. Those who have little or no movement and thus have no progress. They are uninspired & lack motivation.
Muhammad al-Maruzi said:
“It was said that the mud will swallow up a ring so long as it is still soft.
In other words, knowledge should be sought after- when one is still young.”
The younger you are, the softer your heart and mind will be due to the distance between you and sin. This period denotes the most pro-active period for the absorption of guidance.
Many a parent say that these are the years to enjoy life…
As a Muslim we really should be saying that
(these are the years to lay the foundations for an enjoyable life!)
May we take heed.
Shaikh Sajid Umar
An American humorist once wrote: “A pinch of probably, is worth a pound of perhaps.”
It is a very telling statement and one that requires much deliberation!
In terms of my contemplations; I understand from his statement that we as a people don’t live in a world of perhapses, but of probabilities. We live is a world of calculated risk, rather than one of complete uncertainty.
Risk is a part of every sphere of life and in the words of Winston Churchill, without it, the drama of life would be destroyed!
If this is true about risk; then risk management can never be seperated from success.
My dear brothers & sisters…
We are and will always be a product of our decisions & every decision we make will either create positive outcomes, or negative consequences.
Excessiveness of all types is frowned upon, especially the following six:
Ibn Al-Qayyim mentioned that Shaitaan achieves his aim from the son of Aadam through six doors; and they are:
1. The excesses of food.
2. The excesses of speech.
3. The excesses of socialising/mixing with the people.
4. The excesses of sight.
5. The excesses of hearing.
6. The excesses of sleep.
Analyse your life today in light of these 6 points and make the necessary changes required now.
As long as we are breathing, it’s never too late for quantum change and the achievement of the greatest paradise.
