I love the messenger Muhammad ﷺ because…

It is said that the Prophet ﷺ had a beautiful smile. That never would the companions meet him, except that a smile would be apparent on his face; and that the only time he would become angry was when it was for the sake of Allah, and even then, it wasn’t like the anger you see today. He was never harsh, nor cruel, nor bitter towards others.

Sometimes he would smile until you would be able to see his molar teeth. This smile that he kept on his face would fill others hearts with happiness and positivity. For indeed, a smile is symbolic of politeness, optimism and happiness.
When he walked, he walked with a sense of humbleness. Yes, a man whose sins had been forgiven, a man who had been guaranteed Paradise, a man who was one of the most beloved to Allah, never walked on this earth with his head held high. He lowered himself as a Slave of Allah. His steps were well calculated, always balanced, not too fast, nor too slow. It is like he embodied balance. Balance in speech, in movement; balance when implementing Islam. He was never extreme. Always in the middle.

His mercy was unparalleled.
And most often shown when he dealt with those who strove against him.

An example of his vast mercy can be seen during the conquest of Makkah, when the Muslims took back their home city from those who had driven them out mercilessly.

On that victorious day, as Muhammad ﷺ and his companions, ten thousand in number, entered the city of their birth and homeland, many who resided there feared the worst to happen; exile or death. So they stayed locked up in their homes, knowing that they were helpless in this situation and completely at the mercy of the Prophet ﷺ. For after 23 years of unrest in Makkah, 10 years of persecution, torture and boycotting, 13 years of war and living outside of a place they once called home, the Muslims had finally returned. So what was to be their fate?

He was orphaned at the tender age of 6 and yet surrounded by those who loved and cared for him, supported him throughout his life, and stood by his side with every trial that afflicted him.

Thus he understood that no child should ever grow up without the warmth and love of family and so he often played with the orphan children and consoled their hearts. He had a special soft spot for orphans and called towards the adoption and protection of them and kind treatment to them.

So much so that he stated,

“I and the custodian of an orphan are like this (together) in Paradise”, and he joined his forefinger and middle finger together. (Bukhari)

Allah blessed the Prophet Muhammadﷺ with children, some lived on to witness his prophethood, whilst others died in their infancy. He was one amazing, incredible and loving father.

On one instance, it is said that his daughter, Fatima رضي الله عنها ,cried when Rasulullah ﷺ was on his deathbed. Scholars say that the reason for this was because every time Fatima رضي الله عنها would walk into the room, her father would get up, greet her, hug her and kiss her forehead, but when she saw him laying there, in his final moments of his life, she cried, because he physically wasn’t able to get up and greet her. She missed this greeting, and she missed his beautiful way of welcoming her. For it made her feel like a treasure, so special in his eyes, so loved, and so cared for.

There are no words  sufficient to describe him. If every poet and writer, scholar and historian came together to accomplish such a feat, it would be impossible.

A man of magnificent character, an unparalleled leader of compassion and mercy, a Prophet to all of mankind, ﷺ.

He who possessed a kindness like no other man before him or after, who inspired and touched the hearts of countless people during his time and after, and whose legacy will live on till the end of time. Infallible he is not, yet he is the closest thing to perfection humanly possible.

The greatest man to ever live, and with every fiber of his being he lived Islam. A man who bled sweat and tears for the sake of this message, to propagate and spread peace to all corners of the world, to invite and reach out to the future generations that he knew he would never meet.

He ﷺ was the seal of all Prophets.

A man whose last thoughts concerned none but us, whose eyes teared one last time out of concern for us, whose last words on his deathbed were ‘Ummati, Ummati’, ‘My Ummah, My Ummah’.

Upon him we send peace and blessings. May we meet him in the everlasting gardens of Firdous and live with him for an eternity.

Last Days of Shaykh al-Islaam Ibn Taymiyyah

December 31, 2014 by Sajid Umar Leave a Comment

Zain-ud-din Abdur-Rahman relates that after completing 80 recitals of the Qur’aan, Ibn Taymiyyah started it all over again with him. However, when he reached the closing verses of Surah Al-Qamar – “Lo! The righteous will dwell among gardens and rivers firmly established in the favour of a Mighty King” – he expressed his desire to continue the recital further with Abdullah ibn Muhib and his brother Abdullah az-Zara’ee. These brothers were both pious and pure of heart, and their recital pleased Ibn Taymiyyah very much. He did not, however, complete this recital of the Qur’aan before the knell summoning him to heaven was sounded.

The Prophet ﷺ and his Daughter

December 31, 2014 by Sajid Umar 3 Comments

A beneficial article written by Shaykh Kehlan al-Jubury that I would like to share…

On the authority of ‘Ā’ishah the Mother of the Believers رضي الله عنها who said:

“I have not seen anyone resemble the Messenger of Allah ﷺ in the style, attitude and way of their standing and sitting than Fātimah, daughter of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ.”

She added, “When she would enter upon the Prophetﷺ he used to stand up for her, kiss her and seat her in his place; and when the Prophet ﷺ used to visit her, she would stand up for him, kiss him, and seat him in her place.”

This hadīth is narrated by Imām Ahmed, Abu Dāwūd and al-Tirmidhi.

The following benefits can be taken from this narration:
