Assalamualaikum everyone.
There is a narration attributed to the Messenger (Peace, Salutations & Blessings be upon him) about which the scholars have disputed regarding its authenticity.
Despite this dispute, the narration does carry plausible meanings from an Islamic perspective as it has individual meanings which fall under other established evidence in the Shariah, and thus, scholars have used the words of this narration to describe a fasting person in their general teachings and speech contexts.
The words of this narration constitute a game changer! Please read with care & intention & believe that these blessings apply to you!
Abu Hurairah (May Allah be pleased with him) is reported to have narrated that the Messenger ( (Peace, Salutations & Blessings be upon him) said:
“My nation was granted in Ramadan five things that were not granted to any previous nation: 1) The smell from the mouth of a fasting person is sweeter to Allah than the fragrance of musk; 2) the angels keep asking for forgiveness for them until they break their fast; 3) Allah adorns His Paradise every day and then He says: ‘My fasting servants are about to be relieved of their burdens and sufferings and come to me; 4) the devils are chained; so they do not commit what they used to commit in other than it (Ramadan); 5) and they are forgiven in the last night.” The Prophet (Peace, Salutations & Blessings be upon him) was asked: “Is it Laylat-ul-Qadr (the Night of Decree & Virtue)? He (Peace, Salutations & Blessings be upon him)) replied: “No. But the laborer is paid upon finishing his work.”
Narrated by Ahmad and Al-Bazzaar & by Al-Bayhaqi in Shu’ab Al-Eemaan and graded as weak by Sheikh alAlbaani (May Allah shower his mercy upon him).
May Allah Almighty bless our month and grant us the best of health and ability to be the best that we can be during this month. May Allah Almighty make this month our best month and decree for us laylatul qadr. May Allah free us from the hell-fire and grant us the highest paradise. May Allah Almighty accept our worship and bless us with many more Ramadaans after this Ramadaan whilst we are in good health and faith.
Ameen.
Your brother,
Sajid Umar
