Hajj Dairies
- Part 1
Hajj is a time to witness different ways to be selfless. In fact and more appropriately I should call it ‘strangers manifesting different ways to be selfless’. I saw Hujjaaj helping out by carrying the children of other Hujjaaj. I saw Hujjaaj puncturing holes into water bottles and sprinkling the cool water from within on to exhausted Hujjaaj behind them and in front of them. I saw chocolates, juice and sweets being vigorously passed around less than a second after a call of desperation was made die to a pilgrim suffering exhaustion. I saw and I saw and I saw examples that are too many to mention.
Ultimately I witnessed the Sunnah of the Messenger ﷺ as he is the King of being selfless!
May Allah make us selfless people and make manifest acts of selflessness through out our lives. Ameen.

- Part 2
Hajj since a couple of years now has started entering the warmer months. It’s only going to get hotter as the years roll on, may Allah make all easy.
This year I was particular in checking the forecast during the hajj week. The week did indeed boast some of the warmest temperatures in Mina and many forecasts cancelled out there being even a drop of rain…
Guess what…
On the 8th of Dhul Hijjah; Allah Almighty showers upon Mina a beautiful rainfall that brought about a pleasant coolness for His guests.
Indeed the signs of Allah Almighty and His Lordship and Oneness are many and rain upon us daily! And indeed we should take heed…
