#ReflectionFriday – Shaikh Sajid Umar Telegram Channel –
On several occasions I hear from individuals the statement: ‘I can’t do it’ or ‘It’s too hard for me’ and ‘I’m not going to win here’ – and then I reflected on the lives of the Prophets of Allah Almighty (May peace be upon them all)…
Dear brother and sister, Islam teaches us that defeatism is not the attitude of successful believers. In fact, it’s their greatest vice.
Understand that every Prophet who walked this earth believed in the unseen, in the unbelievable, in the possibility of the impossible – by definition, the Power and Might of Allah Almighty to make anything happen. And surely, this is the greatest certainty one can ever have in Allah Almighty.
From this point onwards, I want you to forget negativity and forget defeat. I want you to face the one good habit or deed you would like to bring into your life. I want you to face the one bad habit and one bad deed that you would love to release from your life. Face this matter whilst upright and with your head held high! Face this matter believing that you can win and succeed and believing that (Laa Hawla wa Laa Quwwata Illaa Billah! – The is no power and no might accept from Allah Almighty).
You can be more than you would like to be and your power to change is in your heart! Believe!
May Allah Almighty forgive our past and inspire our futures- Ameen!
