#ReflectionFriday
Imaam Ibn AlQayyim in his infamous book Madaarij asSalikeen states:
“How many people are blinded by apparent blessings that are actually leading them to destruction?
How many people are deceived by the praises of the ignorant lavished upon them?
How many people are deluded by the facilitation of their worldly needs, and the way that Allah conceals their flaws?
Most people measure success and happiness by these three things. And that is due to their lack of understanding.”
Subhanallah! Wise eloquent words.
May Allah protect us from deception.
May Allah protect us from viewing our eases as God Almighty being entirely pleased with us and may Allah Almighty protect us from viewing our difficulties as a sign of Allah Almighty punishing us. May Allah bless us with obedience and make us a people that always have good hope in Him. Ameen…

Assalaamu alaikum,
May Allah reward you for this powerful reminder.
Everyday when we greet each other we say “Assalaamu alaikum wa rahmatullaahi wa barakatuhu.” we ask for peace, mercy and blessings from Allah on us. There should be a balance in everything. Too much ease can cause us to forget Allah as it is the human nature to over-indulge in the good stuff. But we should worry when we are not blessed with difficulties. A good dose of it makes us run back to Allah in rememberance seeking his forgiveness.
It is important to remember Allah at all times. He said “after hardship come ease.”
