Dear all,
Jabir ibn Sulaim reported: The Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said, “Beware of pride, for Allah does not love pride. If a person abuses and reviles you in a matter he knows about you, then do not revile him in a matter you know about him, for then you will have his reward and he will have your sin. Thus, do not revile anyone.”
Musnad Ahmad #2013.
We learn from this hadeeth that it is impermissible to let other people dictate our values. If someone backbites you, it is impermissible for you backbite them in return, and the same applies to all other acts of sin.
Many a time we allow ourselves to drown in the heat of the moment and then blame the other person for our drowning. Shaitan deceives us into justifying our wrong and we engage that wrong as if it’s halal and permissible just because someone else did it to us…
Always remember that you will always be a product of your decisions. Decide well and always choose to uplift your well rounded morals. Choose never to be a product of someone else’s bad character. You can never be a loser doing so!
May Allah grant us the understanding. Ameen.
Sajid Umar.
