Islam came and liberated our children and women…
In pre-islamic Arabia, the right of life was frequently denied to female children. The right to know the identity of the father was also neglected, and tribalism was the main value in society.
In the Roman civilisation, if a child was born sick or disabled, it was killed. If it was born healthy, the child would be placed at the feet of the ‘pater familias’ (father who had strict patriarchal authority). If he decided to keep the child, he would raise him up with his own hands, and if he didn’t, he would abandon the child and leave it to die, or someone would pick it up from the dumps and take it in as a slave.
And then came Islam.
Islam came and liberated our children and women. It came and gave the child the right to practice the religion of their parents (Islam). It gave them the right to education, fairness, a good name and their own identity. Parents were also elevated in terms of status and obedience, coming second after obedience to Allah and His Messenger (salallahu alayhi wasallam).
Islam brought peace and harmony to the family, to society and to the entire world.
How then can one deny that Islam is the religion of truth?
