Summary

A thought-provoking reflection highlighting that genuine belief in Allah and adherence to the Sunnah demand proactive, principled activism and resistance to injustice.

This captured thought was originally uploaded on the previous version of the www.sajidumar.com website on January 21, 2018.

A true believer in the Almighty is always an activist, proactive activist. This is especially true for the followers of the final Messenger (ﷺ), who was sent as a propagator of all that is good and beneficial, and who taught us to work carefully and diligently to remove harm in all its forms.

As a Muslim, you cannot separate faith from principled activism grounded in revelation and the teachings of the final Messenger (ﷺ). Activism rooted in Islām is not optional; it is a natural extension of belief.

If one lacks the knowledge of true activism, then it becomes an obligation to seek it.

Evil does not spread merely because of wrongdoers, but because good people choose inaction. Each time we witness oppression against Allah Almighty or His creation and choose to remain silent, we lose a part of ourselves.
