True Wealth: What Money Can Never Buy

The world teaches you that you are wealthy when you can buy anything you want.

But Islam teaches you something far deeper.

You are not truly wealthy until you possess something money cannot buy.

Money can buy a house, but it cannot buy peace in the home.

Money can buy food, but it cannot buy barakah.

Money can buy medicine, but it cannot buy cure.

Money can buy luxury, but it cannot buy contentment.

Money can buy people’s attention, but it cannot buy sincere love.

Money can buy comfort, but it cannot buy a heart that is pleased with Allah.

That is true wealth.

Īmān is wealth.

Yaqīn is wealth.

Contentment is wealth.

Gratitude is wealth.

Being pleased with the decree of Allah is wealth.

Preferring the Hereafter over the dunya is wealth.

A person may own everything the world praises, yet still live poor in their soul.

And another may own very little, yet carry within their heart a treasure kings cannot purchase.

Because real wealth is not having enough money to buy whatever you want.

Real wealth is having what money can never buy.
